O.P.I - Skull and Glossbones (Pirates of the Caribbean Collection)

Autumn is here but it feels more like winter so these twinkies let me feel snow because it’s impossible to see any where I live (unless I drive for hours and hours), despite the freezing temperatures to come. Applied using the same method: sponging! I also experimented with oval/round nails for once, they’re actually not that bad, but I’ve received feed back that square are still better. What do you prefer?

The past 6 months+ have been crazy with so much work and events hence the lack of posts for such a long period. My apologies. But I’m back with the good old gradient style. This design was in yonks ago, however I hadn’t found the right method of applying yet, until I came by a perfect sponge which allowed smooth and rapid application, perfect for the time which i don’t have, I did this design at 1am!

As a late Easter gift I received a box of these lovely Lindor chocolates, it has a white filling and a milk cover (yummy!). The wrapper was the main inspiration for this design, I hope you guys like it!

‘Out The Door’ Top Coat Review

This top coat was introduced to me at my nail supplier. He said its really shiny and has crystal finish. I was obviously captured by his persuading advertising techniques and purchased a bottle for AU$12. Quite expensive in comparison with ‘Seche Vite’ Top Coat, the one that I have been using since I started doing my nails.

The ‘Out The Door’ Top Coat had a very pretty design for the bottle, the screw off which is the handle of the brush being matte, similar to O.P.I’s bottles. Then it had an embossed pop out, outline of a swan on top of the brush which I really liked (:

Moving on to the actual contents. This top coat is perfect for a whole nail colour as it really does have a crystal finish and it protects the polish for at least two days with minimal wear. However it does not perform well with nail art as it smears the nail art and makes it a big boo boo. For example in my ‘Purple Sprinkle Dots’ design. The dots are actually a bit smeared as I did use this top coat.

Ultimately, its great for whole nail designs, just not adaptable for nail art designs.

Sparitual - Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
Ever been too lazy to redo your nails? Ever loved your nails design, but its chipped before you’v worn it long enough? Well here is a solution and the answer to your queries ;D So, from my previous design I just applied a thin coast of this lovely polish on top with another top coat, and it looks like I just had my mani redone!
To do this make sure you use a sheer colour so your previous design can show up and just a thin layer as you don’t want thick layers of polish as this will cause more chances of chipping! I only recommend you do this if you are wearing a quality base coat as leaving nail polish on for too long without a base coat may not only turn your nails yellow but may also cause your nails to become dry and brittle. Good quality base coats have a sticky surface to them even when dry. This helps the polish to adhere better and also to protect your nails. So try it out!
